DANA BAPTISTE POWER YOGA DVD POWER YOGA embrace action We live in a world of abstracts; we talk of spirituality, but do we know our spirit? We read about potential, but have we felt potential in our own bodies? We think we know how to ?take a deep breath?; but has your breath ever taken you to the depths of your soul? If your body feels stopped, numb, or blocked from your awareness, your essence is being tremendously neglected. This power yoga practice will give you the remedy for that; a deliberate series of movements to bring energy, sensation, and spaciousness back to your body, re-establishing a crucial relationship with your soul. This DVD presents you with an active way to experience all parts of yourself. We call it participatory quiet; entering silence in a fiercely attentive way. In short, you will finally experience an active way to mute the cacophony in your head and tune into the intelligence in your cells. This may sound like the same old self-help mumbo jumbo, until you get on your mat to actively bring yourself to deliberate silence. This spacious silence will be palpable; the silence that courses through your body will appear obvious to your mind?s eye. To discover silence within gives you the tangible experience with self that you are yearning for, even if you don?t know it yet. Your body, your breath, your mind will now have direct knowledge of your essence. You will begin to notice, with each breath you take (both on and off your mat), opportunities to check in with your internal soul, to ask what inspiration it holds, to discover what it is ready to let go of. This class will not appear easy, and that is intentional. Your yoga practice is a metaphor for your own life. What happens on this mat within your body will reflect what happens off this mat out in the world. No matter what you are experiencing in your life, when you get on your mat and take action through this practice of yoga, everything makes more sense. By practicing moving through challenges in this yoga class, you will notice you can more readily move through challenges in your life. If you have not done yoga before, you will notice that simply by stepping on your mat you will find the courage to begin it. If you are new to this type of yoga, you will notice that simply by listening to your breath (as I will ask you to do in a moment) you will discover an open mind to receive this new practice. If you have practiced yoga for years, you will notice that simply by allowing your body to move through this routine, you will discover new frontiers to explore.
